Verizon Business Cloud Solutions

Verizon Business Cloud Solutions deliver Managed Cloud services, Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI) to AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, managed Kubernetes, multi-cloud overlay and named cloud migration architects — all riding on the Verizon Global IP backbone rather than public internet.

Private-line connectivity pairs with Fios Business Internet, SD-WAN and Verizon Private Network to keep cloud traffic off the public path. Administered from My Verizon Business alongside voice, wireless and contact centre services.

Service Brief: Verizon Business Cloud Solutions

Cloud performance is a function of the path, not just the platform. Verizon Business provides private, carrier-operated interconnects to every major hyperscaler so latency and egress become predictable rather than variable.

Secure Cloud Interconnect (SCI)

Private, virtualised connections to AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute and Google Cloud Partner Interconnect. Bandwidth from 50 Mbps to 10 Gbps per cloud. Traffic never enters the public internet — deterministic latency, encryption in transit, preferential hyperscaler egress rates.

Managed Cloud & Kubernetes

Day-2 operations on AWS, Azure and GCP. Managed Kubernetes across EKS, AKS and GKE with patching, monitoring, autoscaling and pod-level observability. Client keeps root authority over workloads; Verizon owns the operational toil.

Multi-Cloud Overlay

One control plane for traffic that spans two or more clouds. Route tables, firewall policy and identity federation synchronised across AWS and Azure (the most common pair) or any combination. Inter-cloud paths use Verizon SCI rather than reverse-transit through the public internet.

Cloud Migration Advisory

Three-phase engagements — discovery, design, migration — led by named architects for mid-market and enterprise. Application dependency mapping, cost baselining, target architecture design, cutover playbooks with rollback plans. Testing windows scheduled inside My Verizon Business.

Coverage Map: Where SCI Lands

Every major US hyperscaler region plus the most-used European regions are reachable via Verizon Secure Cloud Interconnect.

US Regions on Every Cloud

AWS us-east-1 and us-east-2 (Virginia and Ohio), us-west-1 and us-west-2 (California and Oregon). Azure East US, East US 2 and West US 2. Google Cloud us-central1, us-east4 and us-west1. Oracle Cloud Ashburn and Phoenix. IBM Cloud Dallas and Washington DC. All reachable via SCI with predictable latency, usually under 20ms from the nearest Verizon PoP.

According to NIST cloud security guidance, private interconnect reduces the attack surface compared with public-internet path. Verizon Business Cloud Solutions leverage that guidance by default — SCI ports don't sit on the public internet.

Managed Kubernetes Across Three Clouds

Verizon Business Managed Cloud covers Kubernetes operations on EKS, AKS and GKE — the same team, the same playbooks, different control planes. Verizon handles cluster version patching, add-on lifecycle, CNI configuration, node autoscaling policy, IAM integration and pod-level observability. Client keeps namespace-level authority over workloads.

Engagement sizing ranges from 3-node dev clusters to 500-node multi-region production. Rates land in My Verizon Business alongside SCI ports, VoIP seats and wireless lines. One bill, one contract, one account team.

Egress Optimisation

Hyperscaler egress fees — the cost of moving data out of a cloud — can consume 12-30% of a total cloud bill. Verizon Business cuts that by routing inter-cloud and cloud-to-on-premises traffic over SCI rather than public internet, which qualifies for preferential egress rates at AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute tiers.

Monthly egress telemetry reports land in My Verizon Business. Finance teams see bandwidth-by-application, per-cloud. The Verizon cloud architect team runs quarterly optimisation reviews on accounts above the $50K monthly cloud spend threshold.

Verizon Business Cloud Solutions Client Voices

"SCI Cut Egress 38%"

"Our AWS bill had a $47K/month egress line item. After Verizon Secure Cloud Interconnect rerouted inter-region and on-prem traffic over private path, that number dropped to $29K. Eighteen thousand dollars monthly in savings paid off the SCI ports in under three months."

— Arun P., Cloud Architect, Horizon Genomics (Cambridge, MA)

"Managed K8s Ended Our 3am Alerts"

"We ran Kubernetes on EKS but our ops team was four people. Verizon Business Managed Kubernetes took over patching, autoscaling tuning and first-line incident response. Our internal team now owns application platform work. Off-hours pages dropped 80%."

— Sandra M., VP Engineering, Meridian Analytics (San Diego, CA)

"Cutover Without Rollback Drama"

"Moving 240 workloads from colo to Azure required a surgical cutover window. Verizon Business cloud migration architects built a rollback plan I actually trusted. Cutover ran over a long weekend and didn't need the rollback — but we slept because we had one."

— Carlos D., CTO, Pathway Healthcare (Seattle, WA)
